30 Days

Here it is! It was a long 30 days but it's finally over. Hope you enjoy :)

It was difficult to even think of what to animate most days. I spent a few hours on average for each day, sometimes it felt like all day. I originally intended to do them quicker but they usually didn't get going till the late evening. This also meant all the days where only 'first passes' or 'straight aheads'. After the first 5 days I realised I should try to maintain a reasonable quality. It wasn't easy, a lot of time was spent hitting a wall but I had fun trying something different everyday.

Hah!! Thanks for the very kind comments Laurent.
It goes to show the power of trying something for 30 days, you can produce a hell of a large amount of work!
I have to say it wasn't all done on the side because I am between jobs. Glad you liked it! ;)

Wow this is honestly so impressive!! Besides the obviously excellent work, hats off to your will for making sure you animate every day! I also loved the variety in it, the humans, animals, FX, everything! Wonderful. Esp. loved the old lady with the bird and the dog! Amazing stuff.

And yeah very inspiring too! I'm ready to get off my bum and animate!!XD

This is fantastic! Was any of it rotoscoped? Regardless, really amazing stuff overall.

Hi, again thank you for the comments!

Bryce - There is no rotoscoping here. I did use video reference for the ballerina and the card trick because I simply did not know how they moved in detail. It helped to just pick out some keys from the video as a guide. I also used an image sequence for the golfer, for the same reasons. If I can't see it in my mind I have to get video ref.

I like how you draw fx, like water, smoke, fire.. they have structure, not just some mindless splashes :}
